Bodri is a nagar panchayat town located in Bilaspur district of an Indian State of Chhattisgarh. It is located on the northwestern region of the state and at the latitude and longitude of 23°10 North & 81°26 East, respectively. The boundaries of this town are surrounded by Jabalpur city, in Madhya Pradesh state, to the east and Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh, to the north. The city is located at the distance of 145.2 km from its district headquarters - Bilaspur. Historical Background of Bodri
The historical background of Bodri is dominated by the rules of the Mughals, the Marathas and the Britishers. In 17th century, the city was under the control of the Mughals but once the Mughal Empire started falling, it came under the supervision of the Marathas. They brought several developmental steps in the town in which the most important was the provision of water utilized for agriculture and other facilities.
